Zadar’s Roman ruins offer a captivating glimpse into its ancient history as a Roman colony called Iadera, established around 48 BC. The highlight of these ruins is the Roman Forum, the largest of its kind in Croatia, which was commissioned by Emperor Augustus and completed by the 3rd century AD.
