Sarajevo to Žabljak

The drive from Sarajevo to Žabljak is a scenic journey through the rugged beauty of the Balkans, taking more than 6 hours, primarily due to the winding and rough roads. We took the route that passes through Cajniče, then crossed into Montenegro at Metaljka, as we ascended toward Žabljak, the landscape transformed into alpine meadows and towering peaks within Durmitor National Park. The roads are all paved, but they are narrow and winding, and in need of repair. So we drove carefully.
