Walking around Phnom Penh

After I got back from my tour of S21, Chris and I met up for lunch and we toured more around the river front area of Phnom Penh. We both agreed that Cambodia has offered so much new visual stimulation from what we have seen so far. Thailand, in retrospect, was pretty familiar to the typical Western world, we have seen so many new things here that just seem so unreal, but people here seem so friendly, and it has been a positive experience so far. Look closely at the back alley markets, so many things going on, from a lady getting Her armpits waxed, to full hair salons, to a meat place between two quilt places, it was bizarre world. US and Cambodian Riel are accepted currencies here. US is used for more substantial purchases, and Riel is smaller. Change is usually in Riel, so the challenge is to use up the Riel's as you can't convert them once you leave country.Læs mere
