• Walking around Kyoto

    Well, spring is definitely later here than we anticipated when planning our trip. The cherry blossoms are at least a week away. Hopefully, we will get to see them in Tokyo next week. We spent the day walking around and checking out the city. Went to a cute little restaurant for breakfast, and then we went to the Kiyomizu-dera temple. It was really busy. There must have been at least 100 tour buses in the parking lot. The streets have real character, and so many are really pedestrian only. Had a great Wagyu burger for lunch and we went to an Italian restaurant for dinner and then went walking around the Pontocho Alley area, where there are narrow streets for pedestrians only, closed the night at a British Pub for a night cap.Read more
