La Brea Tar Pits, CA

We let everyone sleep in after a lot of late nights and around 11am I told the kids it was ridiculous and to GET UP! TEENAGERS!!!

Doug wanted to go to the Tar Pits and the Coleman's had school and work so we were on our own for the day. The Tar Pits were a nice stop. We spent an hour walking around, watching Tar bubble and learning about the fossils. We were too late in the year to see them actually digging fossils out, but we were able to see the fossil pit they were digging in.Read more
