Copper Mine

We spent the night at a Cracker Barrel. Doug & Talon fixed Talon's car, and Eric, Weston, & Talon played board games.

Visiting the copper mine in Salt Lake City was a chilly hit. We got to see the daily explosion and once again be in awe at the gigantic sizing of the machinery.Read more

We got to Ketchikan just after breakfast. Walking around this pretty little town was exhausting. It has some very steep inclines. Poor Talon had a migraine after being seasick the day before. He was a trouper and walked around until he was DONE.

We did some souvenir shopping, and I ate a smoked salmon crepe that was delicious. Then, time to go...just in time for dinner.Read more

Taylor & Laura's After Alaska

Taylor & Laura picked us up Sunday morning from the 🛳. We drove back to their place, unloaded, and then headed to church. We had church dinner and visited until we left to continue visiting back at their place. I started feeling yucky and thought I was just extremely tired. I was wrong!
Sick, Monday & Tuesday. 😫 🤒 🤧

My boyz were happy burning their way through a giant tree Taylor had cut down. Did you know chopping wood is playing? They cleared a big area with their playing while I was sick. Laura was ecstatic.

Dad and Mom got new toys to play with. We thought it would be good for the trip, and they were both happy to zoom zoom up and down the road.

There were 12. Eric left Monday morning, Nathanael left Tuesday night, Leon & Jenelle left early Wednesday, and then there were 6. We left mid-morning Wednesday.Read more

Started the day with breakfast, coffee, and a visit at Brother Rick & Sister Maria Wolff's.

Left Olympia after our visit and stopped at A1 RV Recycling for an RV scrapyard of parts. We stopped last time, and we were glad to stop this time and get needed parts for our RVs.

We got to Brother Mike & Sister Tammy James for dinner and then headed to church in Buxton. It was a full crowd with several visiting and we had a good meeting.Read more

Our first stop on Hwy 101: Cannon Beach. After spending an exceptionally long time trying to find a place to park 2 long RVs in a seaside tourist town, we headed to Haystack Rock.

A quick lunch, some souvenir shopping, and we were ready to roll.Read more

Tillamook Creamery, OR

I wanted to stop at the Tillamook Cheese Factory 8 years ago, but we ran out of time. This time, we drove right past it, just in time for an ice cream break.

After a greeting from a very large cow, we ate our ice cream and then toured the factory, giving time for Talon to work on some college homework.Read more

We just barely missed the sunset, 😥 but stopped for the night at Thor's Well. It's not a bad way to fall asleep (listening to the waves crash against the rocks) or waking up to the view.

We started the morning visiting with Bro. Clint & Sis. Summer Russell.

Ate lunch with Bro. Stoney & Sis. Tina and their family: Bro. Matthew, Bro. Chase & Sis. Taya, Bro. Michael & Sis. Kailee and Cori.

Doug wanted the boys to see Bro. Clint's shop, so off we went to check it out. Visited with Clint & Summer. Dad's cousin, Bro. Emory Todd came over.

Dinner was pizza @ Stoney & Tina's house, with more visiting.

We ended the day visiting at Clint & Summer's until way too late, but it's hard to say goodbye to friends.Read more
