On The Road...PSYCH!

We were supposed to leave Thursday morning. Instead, we left at 2am Friday morning, but we're on the road again....PSYCH!

7 miles down the road and realized we forgot something. We tried turning around but Doug realized too late that the intersection was too steep. 911 was called, lights flashed, and adrenaline flowed. We are LONG and took up one lane on each side of the interstate.

1 hour gone, and we're home! Pearl says we have commitment issues.😉Read more

We stopped in OKC to pick up Torri and spent the night at Blake & Kristal's. We dropped off our motorhome and loaded up in the suburban to head to Indiana. The kids had fun playing with Bonnie & Charlie. Keep away & basket riding, I believe.Read more

Fireworks! + A New Camper

We picked up some strays in OK, Weston wanted fireworks, we went to church in Spencer, and then picked up our new motorhome in Mooresville, IN. A whirlwind 2 days!

Lions & Tigers & Bears! Oh My!

Cincinnati Zoo! My animals spent the day meeting new animals. It was crazy crowded at first, but it got better after we got away from the entrance. Things of note:
*Bring walking 👟, your feet will thank you
*🦛 playing & pooping in the water is fun & gross at the same time, but hey, the 🐟 got to eat
*Penguins swim crazy fast
*🐒, boxes, & toys are very entertaining
*Hunting for 🐦🦜🐦‍⬛ is like finding 'Where's Waldo'
*🦦 are fun to watch swim

Fun @ The Campground

We needed gas, AND we were trying to get to the campground to get checked in. I jumped in with Dad & Mom while Doug got gas. Adventure time: they were using the rv & the phone gps, confusion between the two AND Talon navigating, caused them to turn around several times, which put them going across a bridge that had a weight limit of 6 tons. We are 15+ tons, but hey, the rv gps and the emergency weight limit said it was okay. Not sure the girls felt it was...THEN they didn't listen to my instructions to get to the campground, so they found themselves at the boat ramp for the river. They eventually found their way home.

After full days, our evenings were pretty chill. Stir-fry on the griddle, games, talking, napping, and maybe a Mt. Dew or two.Read more

Ark Encounter: 3 very large floors. We walked, read, watched, learned, and were astounded at the visual of the magnificence of what God did and how 'just a Bible story' came to life. It was fun, but a second day of walking exhausted us.Read more

Creation Museum

We spent the morning walking, again! There were less people and there was AC, so bonus. It was a lot of reading, but everyone was so nice about giving you space. A few favorites were the Dinosaur exhibit and Dr. Crawley's Insectorium.

After going through the museum we walked the Botanical Garden paths. Papa and Nana meant business on their scooters and Doug didn't stand in front of a couple signs that said no wheel chairs...AND as always, there is adventure. Doug grabbed the wrong keys, so the tallest person got to climb through the RV window.Read more

Adventures To Camp

We left the Creation Museum late enough that we didn't make it to Blake & Kristal's. When we got close to St. Louis, we got to test out our wipers and started seeing lightening. I looked at the weather and it showed us heading into the center of it. Doug decided to exit, and right off of the exit, there was a gas station that was closed for the night. We parked under the awning and slept while the storm did its thing.

The next morning, there were still several storms, but God was good again, and the storms all dissipated or went around us.Read more
