So planned on staying at Balmorhea State Park but they are renovating and forgot to post that there was no overnight available. So arrived there at 6 pm and had to continue on. Found a RV park in Van Horn, which by the way is what Van Horn, TX is mainly made up of. So nice showers, electricity and almost quiet. It will be a good rest and then move on in morning. Sorry no photos it was dark when I arrived and lucky all pull thru sites so did not have to try and back up the trailer in the dark.Read more

Kartchner caverns state park

Found this place by accident. And it is beautiful plus was only 6 hours drive. will tour cavern this afternoon and do hike tomorrow. it is a chilly 65 and supposedly will be 35 tonight. Awesome sleeping especially with electric blanket. no mosquitoes so windows open

Just got back from a 2 hour guided tour of the most fabulous cave I have seen. It was discovered 1974 and made a state park in 1988. It has not been trashed and has been kept in it natural state as much as possible. It was beautiful. The campground is very nice. Highly recommend we all come back.Read more

Joshua Tree National Park

Spent Monday night at Joshua Tree, it was very windy and quite cold I love the park and it is a great desert but my grandson was waiting for me. So up early and off towards Elliott.

Well Kim , Nathan and their massive cats, but the best part is Elliott. He is walking everywhere and laughs alot. I am here until the 13th and then off to Baja kayaking and scuba. I will post some grandma pictures for you all real soon.Read more
