I did a tour of the Upper Antelope Canyon. It was spectacular.. My photos don't do it justice. You might want to look at the gallery at Antelope Canyon Tours, Inc. The drive up AZ 89 was really nice, lots of red rock walls and canyons. Plus in Page I found the Lake Powell National Golf Course. Never knew we had those but can check it off my list. I think it would be a hard course to play because the scenery would be very distracting. Definitely an area I need to go back to. Plus on the way back to Flagstaff I passed the vista for the horseshoe bend of the Colorado.Meer informatie

I arrived here last night and will stay until Sunday. Minimal cell service. Did 6 mile hike early this am, enjoying thawing out, it was 68 at 7 . Campsite has a great view. So the desert is in bloom and smells wonderfulMeer informatie

Death Valley National Park

So I love the name of the small town here, Furnace Creek, but there is a mineral pool across the street. So not complaining. Campsite is stark but after an early dinner I am off to soak off the dust. So if look closely there is the Furnace Creek Inn up on the hill, definitely where you should Sta if here any later in spring. They have ac. the rising full moon is gorgeousMeer informatie

I drove through 20mule team canyon, hiked Golden Canyon, Badwater Salt Flats, Natural Bridge Canyon and saw the Harmony Borax mine. Now relaxing. A bit of a surprise, saw Nancy Howley, chemistry adjunct I used to work with at the salt flats. It is a very small world.Meer informatie

Waiting on baby

So baby is breech and this is one suggestion to get the little guy to move. So think positive thoughts. Due date is April 4, So I plan to be here until well after he arrives. So probably not too many posts until the munchkin arrives or I find something interesting to share.Meer informatie
