    So incase you were wondering we made it home on the 15th. We are recovered and laundry is almost done. Came home to rain and hot but now cold, 60, and gray. Ready for the next adventure.

    October 14 in Finland ⋅ 🌧 43 °F

    Took a bus and walking tour of Helsinki. Today we were told that the angels were crying due to use leaving early tomorrow. It is raining pretty hard and about 50 degrees. But enjoyed the fall color . The pipe like structure is a monument for a Finnish composure and the last two are their library. It is rather unique.Read more

    Flew to Helsinki today. Much warmer and back in fall color. Easy day. The ferries wheel has two cars that are saunas, so weird. But there is 1 sauna per 3 people through oit Finland.

    Sami museum

    The local native people are the Sami, they are the only ones allowed to herd reindeer. We toured a cultural museum and then a reindeer farm. On the way we had some fantastic snow landscapes. Plus we tried cloudberry liquor and it was good.

    Left Kirkenes and stopped by the Russian border on the way to Finland. Finland has 188,000 lakes and reindeer. But also saw moose today. Had reindeer stew for lunch.

    Took bus to farthest north point of Europe. Interestng. The art thing done by children around the world was very special

    First day of rainy weather, but just need to pick the direction to look for the better weather

    Long haul to this area. Well within the artic circle but not much snow. I always thought it would be all ice up here but gulf stream keeps it a bit warmer. I did find the smallest bar and the farthest north brewery.
