Drove from home to this park in about 5 hours. After not having the van for 2 months, I am very happy to say that it ran very well. Beau and I had a quiet drive. Arrived at the park, set up and went for a 3 mile walk along a bike path which was along the Guadalupe River. Check out what Beau found on our walk ., oops a little hard to see, It is a deer. Arrived here after 5pm This was a long day of driving mainly because of a very strong head wind on I - 10. We stopped for gas a little bit more often since pulling the trailer in the wind push the poor van. Anyway, it is dark so ate out dinner and have walked around. they have quite a petting zoo of goats, llamas, donkeys and cows. We get to explore that tomorrow. Plus we will get to taste their cheeses. So will add photos tomorrow.

Over all everything is really going well. A bit cool and this is a location with no hook ups so glad that I got the various tank sensors working.Read more

Beau does not understand cactus. Plus is looking for grass. This morning he toured the petting zoo at Licon Dairy. Barked at the donkeys, chased pigeons and touched noses with the goats. The owner was really nice and I can't wait to make quesadilla with their fresh cheese and homemade tortillas.

We are now in Tucson Mountain Park at a really nice desert campground, They do have electric though. About 80 degrees ( it was 48 when I woke up this morning) and a gentle breeze.

Travel was much easier today, no head wind. Tomorrow I will arrive in Lake Havasu and wait for the rest of the gang.

The last photo was taken with my phone in the cupholder. Not my fault it is blurry but that is how Beau travels when he is sure I am ok.Read more

Made it to Lake Havasu City but with adventures. Beau tangled with a cholla cactus. He was so good standing still while I used tweezers to pull out the tines. Then noticed a tire losing air slowly. Pumped it up twice and found a really nice tire store. Oh well all better now. At the brewery for happy hour. We are camped on the lake. Brew master just stopped to say hi to Beau. Had breakfast staring at the lake. Found a nice walk for Beau and even a dog park. Chatted with neighbor and now heading out to kayak. Kim and family including Rob and Rhonda (in-laws) arrive this evening.

Sorry missed posting yesterday. A bit of a rough drive,. Major accident on I-40 by Gallup. So all arrived after dark. Ate dinner. Went to playground and then bed. Of course adults had a bit of wine . Gorgeous sunrise this morning. Kids stopped at Cadillac Ranch. A great beginning to some Texas culture.Read more

We all made it to the Airbnb. Kim and family last night thank goodness. It was quite cold at campsite. Steve , Brian ,great Grandma and aunt joy on the way. Pool a bit cold and it is windy.

Rob and Rhonda headed home this morning, Steve also headed home today. Kim, Nathan, Elliott, Dylan and Brian went to Dinosaur Valley State Park for a few hours to find dinosaur tracks.
