    It was interesting but I thought the fans would be more into the game.
    The main attractions were food, beer, catching the fly balls, watching yourself on TV and I nearly forgot - the baseball!
    For the record the Giants beat the Pirates 5-4. The Pirates scored 4 home runs in the 8th innings to make it a close finish.
    I really enjoyed it and that's another bucket list item ticked off.    Læs mere

    I left my 💓 in San Francisco!
    The San Francisco skyline and a few hundred seals.It sure is a hard life that we have!Who would believe it. Sold out for 5 days!About as close as you get to Alcatraz without a ticketUnder the Golden Gate Bridge.And back the other way.Their fishing trip was definitely a success!Another selfie down on the waterfront.San Francisco Civic Centre

    Off to Alcatraz - or not!

    Thursday morning and today is Alcatraz day. We caught the bus to Pier 33 and found the only company that tours the island. No tickets until Monday!
    Time to adjust the itinerary and instead we took a cruise around the bay that included a close look at Alcatraz (from the boat) and a ride under the Golden Gate.
    Saw some fishermen with their catch for the day and hundreds of seals.
    A quick tour of City Hall and we were done for the day.    Læs mere

    After a hot night (no air conditioning but a little breeze) we left for a short drive to the beach. Great spot just down the road.
    Stayed for an hour or so and then took the scenic drive home - it took two hours! A very, very narrow mountain road.Læs mere

    Last moments before the sun disappears.The tide is out?So beautiful yet we had it virtually to ourselves.Where better to continue our relaxing wind down.Swimming past our front door!The sun slowly sets on another great day.I could watch the turtles swim by for hours.

    Another quiet day that started with the regular check for turtles at out front door and then a couple of hours at "our" beach.
    Then back home for some more post midday planning and preparation (otherwise known as an afternoon nap).
    We ended the day with a few more nibblies, a cold beer and a beautiful sunset.    Læs mere
