Day 19 - FiordlandNational Park

We left Port Chalmers last night for a very windy and rocky ride around the bottom of New Zealand.
Today we are visiting five fiords/sounds along the south east coast of NZ.
The weather was not the best- very cool, misty and showery in the morning but the sun managed to peak through about lunch time.
The first fiord was Dusky Sound coming back out into the Tasman Sea at Breaksea Sound. Then on to Doubtful Sound and back out to sea at Thompson Sound.
Then it was about a three hour trip up the coast to Milford Sound, the most famous and beautiful of them all. This trip through the fiords was despite the weather, spectacular!We are so lucky to have a big balcony right at the back of the boat which provided a “bird’s eye view” without getting too wet or having to fight the crowds for a look at the scenery 👀.
So that’s a wrap for our New Zealand trip- was a beautiful country - we enjoyed every minute!
