    I was never interested in flowers per se. They are pretty and I enjoy receiving them, but they represent to me nothing more than a special gift of social appreciation.

    What happened in Norway? I don’t know. I found myself noticing all these flowers as if they were rarities: never seen so many varieties and so many healthy flowers. It must be the humidity that makes them so beautiful?
    I even felt the urge to get an app to classify them (I know, I get an app for everything!).

    Today I am wearing my guilty pleasure: an animal print shirt got here. I promised myself I would only buy neutral colours in the second half of 2018- so I could wear all my fancy accessories, but I have a date with Munch.

    The museum is one floor only; they are building a new museum for 2020 with 8 floors. Half of the floor is negligible renaissance stuff, cannot even understand the point.
    I also end up finding a self portrait of Van Gogh sitting there all alone: what’s it doing there? 🤷🏽‍♀️    Les mer

    The graveyard, Ibsen and the river

    5. september 2018, Norge ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

    People by themselves doing their things in peace and solitude. Sunbathing, reading, listening to music, thinking. This is Oslo’s graveyard population. Nature and vast spaces makes it great for a sunny day like today. Munch and Ibsen are buried here.

    I came across Ibsen during this trip, and fell in love with what I heard about him. I will read some of his writings sometimes soon but I hope to actually attend a play! Irreverent, sharp and provocative. Poverty, psychological problems, and social rules are the main themes. His grave has a hammer symbol, representing the society falsity breaker.

    After the graveyard, I head towards the river where I find a thriving community of artists. Greenhouses cafes, riverside wooden meetup points, graffiti and street art. Oslo rules!    Les mer
