South to Nyungwe NP

Today we drove south from Kigali through the Rwandan countryside, which is quite beautiful. It is called the land of a thousand hills and for a very good reason.

Along the way we stopped at the King's Palace Museum, which showcases how the Rwandan kings used to live. While there we met the unique Inyambo, cattle with massive horns that could only be owned by the king. The Inyambo keeper treated us to a traditional welcome song.Læs mere
