Trim

Our final stop before leaving Ireland is the town of Trim and its lovely castle, used in the filming of Braveheart.
Kigali

Next stop is Rwanda, where we spent the first day touring Kigali.

South to Nyungwe NP

Today we drove south from Kigali through the Rwandan countryside, which is quite beautiful. It is called the land of a thousand hills and for a very good reason.

Chimpanzees

Today we were up early to trek deep into the forest in search of chimpanzees. It was hard going, but worth it.
Gisakura Forest

Tea plantation

Tea is a significant export for Rwanda and we had the opportunity to see how they pick the tea leaves.
