9 - Auckland & Devonport

Had to pack up and leave Matapōuri which was very hard to do. After a 3 1/2 hour drive which was slowed down due to pointless traffic jams before the Toll Road tunnel we arrived in the city of Auckland on a beautiful day. Drove in to the city centre and caught a 15 minute ferry to Devonport where we enjoyed wonderful lunch and the best cheesecake ever. Devonport is very rich, and saw the scale of Auckland house prices for real for the first time, one was up for almost 7 million. Satan.
