      Tena / Mishualli

      March 7, 2022 in Ecuador ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

      Back to the jungle!
Tena is a small, not really beautiful city in the ecuadorian Amazon. What the city is missing, the nature around is having it multiple times.
Anyways we could stay there in a hostel for 5$/night, where sleeping was hard because the roosters were crowing from 2pm all night until the rain hit our aluminium roof hardly.

The three girls from Argentina, Colombia, Spain and me decided to take a day trip to Mishualli.
The village was full of monkeys! I noticed that when we sat down for the obligatory 3$ lunch (juice, soup, and main plate) when I heared this loud scream. At first I thought they just killed a Guinea Pig but when I looked closer, I saw three monkeys, stealing the chefs cream 🐒.

Then I realised they were all over! On the roofs, on the trees, playing around in the park, riding the dogs…Loved this crazy bastards!

After lunch we found a beautiful hike trip along Rio (river) Napo, where found this swing over the river wich was so much fun!!!

We continued the trip through the jungle when we crossed a huge bridge wich lead us over the river deeper into the nature. On the other side a single puppy dog followed us for a very long time until we decided to find his home. So we went back and luckily found the gorgeous jungle lounge were the owners and the dogs parents were so happy that we brought him back.

We hitchhiked our way back to Mishualli, where we got our bus back to Tena.

Next morning at 5:30 off to the frontier of COLOMBIA 🇨🇴 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴
