• Ngorangora Crater

    February 6 in Tanzania ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

Today we drove to and visited the Crater! Don’t think any words would be suitable enough to describe the experience we had in the Crater - breathtaking would only be the beginning. Thousands of animals! We saw lions, hippos, Rhino, wilder beast, wart hogs, zebras and so so much more!
Some info, the Crater is a volcano that collapsed in about 2 million years ago. It’s filled with animals and a big lake in the middle and there in no way in and no way out for the animals - throughout the wet and dry season, the circle of life continues. There are laws about how many cars can be in there at a single time, strict laws on no buildings or roads or anything at all! Around the peak of the crater where no animals can access anyways, there are a few lodges to stay overnight, which we were lucky enough to stay in! A perfect view and sunrise and amazing animal sounds throughout the night!
