New Orleans - WWII Museum

We made the National World War II Museum our focus for our arrival day. It is amazing.... though we have to admit we were both puzzled about why it is in New Orleans and not in DC. The history of the u-boat is explained and its ties to the area.
The museum is so well done. We both learned so much, even after thinking this was a period of history we knew fairly well.
The holocaust portion is not yet finished so we didn't get to see that, which might be good. We were mentally tired after several hours in the museum and the emotional weight of the holocaust deserves a fresh mindset.
