Right after Old Faithful, we hurried off to make the predicted Daisy Geyser at 10:28. It was a nice walk along the river with a few other features along the way.

After Daisy Geyser, we passed the bison again - quickly - and took the trail back along so many amazing features.

Why is it called Black Pool when it is such a stunning blue? I don’t know. There was no info panel. But I do know it is stunning!
Frozen lake

This is late May…and large portions of this west thumb of Lake Yellowstone are still frozen. Where the ice is broken you can see how thick it is! Brrrrrrr

Right along the Yellowstone River is this Sulphur Cauldron. And yes it smells bad. Warm steam hits your face…and smells of rotten eggs. 🤮 but cool to see and experience.
