After a stormy take off and delays in Austin, we made it to Phoenix and found this awesome local place for breakfast.

Obviously we were hungry because we ate before I remembered to take a picture!

Great scratch made food and the friendliest and fastest staff ever. Guy Fieri ate here too.Read more

Chilte - Checked out this spot listed as a best new restaurant in Esquire and Bon Appétit. If we hadn’t read that, I’m not sure we would have gone in - it’s attached to a funky motel. I’m glad we went in.

We had:
Green Chorizo Vampiro
Mole de La Casa
Beef Quesa Birria Tacos

They make their own blue corn tortillas and they are amazing, but also very dense and filling.

The green chorizo was interesting and had a good heat, the mole was rich and amazing and complex and the lamb was perfect though the flautas were a little too fried - hard to chew, and the Burria were really good with the fresh slaw on the side to break up the beef. Great staff too.Read more

Another great find of Bill’s. Listed in Eater as a great patio space and it certainly was. Big place with lots of best outdoor spaces.

I had a breakfast chimichanga and Bill had brisket and polenta. There were some amazing veggie dishes coming out that looked great.Read more

Spring Training Rangers v Brewers

For a millions years I (Dawn) have heard the phrase “spring training” for baseball in Phoenix. Turns out it’s just scrimmages. Lol.

Seeing the Rangers at the Brewers home field. Fun, low key experience. Nice field. Beautiful weather. Peanuts. And some baseball. 😂Read more

We do shishi and we do low key. Heard this place had the best Sonoran dogs ….so we checked it out. By the bus station. But the recommendation was right - great dog, friendly people.
