South West Circuit Day 2

TAG 2: Quetena – Laguna Colorada (4278 m)

Wir starteten unsere Tour um 7:30 Uhr.

Wir passierten herrliche Bofedales und erreichten die Lagunen Hedionda Sur und Kollpa, zwei aufgrund ihres hohen Schwefel- und Boraxgehalts, besonders außergewöhnliche Lagunen.

Wir setzten unsere Tour fort und durchquerten den kleinen Salar de Chalviri. Weiter westlich, an dessen Ende, befanden sich die Polques-Thermalquellen, wo wir ein wohltuendes Bad im Freien bei 35 °C genossen.

Dieses Wasser gilt als therapeutisch, da es durch geothermische Aktivität entsteht.

Anschließend besuchten wir die Dalí-Wüste (4750 m), die so genannt wird, weil sie einigen Landschaften des spanischen Malers Salvador Dalí ähnelt.

Wir setzten unsere Tour Richtung Süden fort, zu den Aussichtspunkten Laguna Verde und Laguna Blanca.
Diese Lagunen liegen am Fuße des Vulkans Licancabur und stellten eine der beeindruckendsten Landschaften der Reise dar.

Nach dem Mittagessen ging es weiter zu den Geiseres de Sol de Mañana (5000 m), einer Region intensiver vulkanischer Aktivität mit Schwefeldampfausstößen.

Inmitten von Wüsten und Hochebenen erhebte sich dann schließlich die imposante Lagune von Colorada am Fuße des schwarzen Hügels. Diese Lagune ist ein Zufluchtsort für Tausende von rosa Flamingos. Hier machten wir einen schönen Spaziergang.

Voller Endorphine beendete unsere Gruppe erschöpft, aber glücklich, den Tag im Hostal Laguna Colorada.

DAY 2: Quetena – Laguna Colorada (4278 m.)

We started our trip at 07:30 am.
We bordered magnificent bofedales to then arrived to the LAGUNA
HEDIONDA SUR and KOLLPA LAGUNA two very peculiar lagoons by the amount of sulfur and Borax in itsinterior.

We continued our trip to cross the small SALAR DE CHALVIRI, further on, in its west end were the POLQUES HOT SPRINGS, where we enjoyed a delicious bath in the open air at a temperature of 35 C°.
These waters are considered therapeutic because they are the result of geothermal activity.

After that we visited the DALÍ DESERT (4750 m.), so called because it is similar to some landscapes painted by the Spanish painter Salvador Dalí.
We continued our trip to the south, to the viewpoint of LAGUNA VERDE and LAGUNA BLANCA.
These lagoons are located at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano and represented one of the most impressive landscapes of the trip.

After our lunch, the excursion continued to the GEISERES DE SOL DE
MAÑANA (5000 m), a region of intense volcanic activity, with effusions of sulfur vapor.
Finally, emerges imposing in the middle of deserts and plateaus the COLORADA LAGOON located at the foot of the black hill,
this lagoon is a sanctuary for thousands of pink flamingos,
here we had a nice walk.
Full of endorphins, our group ended the day exhausted but happy at the Hostal Laguna Colorada.Meer informatie
