Good sea legs

"Mucki" needs to have good sea legs. Again it's on a ferry, this time to Westray, one of the Northern Isles of Orkney.
Literally no EV chargers on that isle. But it's small, we should be ok.

On Westray the puffins are quite relaxed if you get close to them. I was at times just 50cm away. I kept talking to them so they became familiar with me and I was able to move closer and closer.
The 4WD 500e

The "road" (more off than road) to the Noup Head Lighthouse is even for a real 4WD challenging. But my 500e mastered it like a pro!
Cliff's Edge

Noup Head Lighthouse is standing on top of very steep cliffs. What a show for eyes and ears (birds and waves)...! Just... don't be afraid of heights....

Vegan Burger Van

Just next to our favourite rapid charger station in Orkney there's a burger van. As we found out now - they sell vegan burgers with hand made patties (from an open minded butcher in Stromness). Cool!

This bay with the picture perfect sea stack is hardly known amongst tourists but much loved by locals: Windwick Bay
Goodbye Orkney

After two days of computer work (which has to be done if one travels 5 months) it's now time to sail from Stromness to Scottish mainland (Scrabster) and discover the northern Highlands.

Castle Sinclair Girnigoe was spectacularly positioned on top of cliffs and sea stacks. Not a lot left - but somehow this is particularly charming.
