The Highland Council opened rapid chargers along the NC500 in Sutherland, conveniently and evenly spread every 20 miles or so.

One of the best beaches I've seen so far in Scotland. Ceannabeinne Beach. What a beauty. Unfortunately at the beginning of being destroyed for mass tourism with zip lines and cliff jumps etc... 😪

The Balnakeil Craft Village was originally a RAF early warning station during the cold war.
After not being used anymore, the council rented it out to artists in the 1960s.

The vintage VIP graveyard

The authentic and picturesque harbour village of Kinlochbervie is just a bit off the beaten NC500 path - and immediately so much more peaceful!

1000 islands

Tree Islands

Very happy to have found this place again. I had been here years ago and wasn't sure where it is. Luckily the red phone booth was visible on Google satellite. It's the phone booth at Lochinver.
A finger of stone

Today Advreck Castle is only a finger of stone, pointing accusingly at the sky. But it has once been a three storey tower house. The castle dates back to about 1490 and was attacked and captured by Czytaj więcej
