Geute sind wir ins SeaWorld gefahren. Als erstes sind wir dort auf den Manta gegangen beim fahren hingen wir auf dem Bauch. Danach sind wir auf einer anderen Achterbahn 🎢 gegangen.
Danach sind wir zur Otter show gegangen. Die Otter Show war sehr lustig🦦🦦 Danach sind wir noch zur einer Orka Show und dann noch zu einer Delfin Show.Read more

This morning Wiggy and I went to the beach. She loves the beach so much and never wants to leave it! Dan and I went to the Pier again today to walk around and check out that beach. We saw so many hermit crabs! We went home and ate our leftovers for a late lunch and rested. The Georgia heat is hot! Dan and I played 9 holes of golf at Sea palms. It wasn’t bad and it wasn’t good… we then took dinner from there to his grandpa and visited a bit. I chipped my tooth on a on the burger so that was a bummer for me! 😳 then home to do laundry and get ready to leave tomorrow! 🙁Read more

Day trip to Savannah

This morning Wiggy and I went to the beach so she could play! She had the best time running on the sand, going in and out of the water, and playing ball! She looked a little crazy because she was so excited! Dan and I decided to take a day trip to Savannah. It was an hour easy drive. We walked through Forsyth park. Ate lunch at The Olde Pink House, Dans pulled pork was amazing. I had a Cheerwine. Which is like a cherry Pepsi, but better and a southern thing! We walked around Savannah and down brought on street. Went into a couple cute shops. We picked up a souvenir for a wild young man we know. Then started to walk back to the car! On the walk back we saw the first Girl Scouts building. They have clean public restrooms you can use, Dan stopped and I kept walking to get the car. While I was walking a lovely Southern summer storm hit! For about 10 minutes I was pelted with rain, thunder, lightning. When I picked Dan up, he was in shock because he didn’t know it even rained! We got back and took wiggy to the beach again to run and play! She loves the beach! 🌊☀️🏝️ Dan and I went to Fiddlers for a late dinner, the seafood soup was amazing!-I needed something warm because it was cold after we got stuck in a thunderstorm that started as we parked! Traveler I’m reading a book about Savannah, and it sounds just as lovely as you said! I’m glad it cooled down a bit for you, but hope you don’t get hit by too many storms!

FP Update 11/21 – Hofwyl-Broadfield Plan

We visited this beautiful plantation which represents the history and culture of Georgia’s rice coast. In the early 1800s, William Brailsford of Charleston carved a rice plantation from marshes along the Altamaha River. The plantation and its inhabitants were part of the genteel low country society that developed during the antebellum period.

Even after the Civil War, when growing rice was challenging the family continued to grow until 1913.The enterprising siblings of the fifth generation at Hofwyl-Broadfield resolved to start a dairy rather than sell their family home as times were hard. The efforts of Gratz, Miriam and Ophelia Dent led to the preservation of their family legacy. Truly two strong independent women 💪🏻Ophelia was the last heir to the rich traditions of her ancestors, and she left the plantation to the state of Georgia in 1973.

The plantation is lined with gorgeous Live oaks. A fun factoid, main reason they were originally planted was the ability to withstand hurricanes. A must see if you are in the area.Read more

This morning Wiggy was so tired from all her fun yesterday she barely wanted to wake up and go out. No beach today for anyone. A walk around the neighborhood and breakfast at cafe Frederica. Breakfast was soo good! After breakfast we looked at a condo for sale just for funsy! I dropped Dan off to visit with his grandpa and ran a couple errands and gave wiggy cuddles! I then joined Dan and his grandpa for the afternoon. We went for dinner at Barbra Jeans. Dinner was huge and pretty good. We walked to the Pier after to see some shark fishing. We were too early to see any action though. So back to the rental to do laundry and relax!Read more

First full day in SSI

Today we experienced the Georgia heat! Wiggy and I woke up and tried walking too the beach, but the sidewalk was closed and we didn’t make it. I planned on taking her in the car to run on the beach, but she was too tired! The Georgia heat isn’t a joke! The feels like today was about 116! Dan and I went to the beach without wiggy for a little. We had lunch at Iguanas, we both had delicious blackened mahi-mahi! Lunch came with soft serve so we had some of course! Then we walked around the shops a little. The heat was a lot for us so we all came and hung out and rested at the rental. For dinner we brought Sea Palms dinner back and had it with his Grandpa. Then came back to the rental and had ice cream with wiggy and watched TV.Read more
