St Jean Pied de Port - 2

Slept 12+ hours before having to leave the auberge until 4 pm ("is an auberge, not a hotel!!" In heavily French-accented English).

Explored SJPdP for most of the day. Had breakfast and lunch w/ a wonderful Aussie couple, both teachers on sabbatical, who've been planning their Camino for 15 yrs.

Now that we're rested and the first batch of hand-washed laundry is done, we're ready to get started at first light in the morning. Buen Camino!Read more
