The Blue Mountains are a mountain range, whose foothills begin approximately 60 km west of Sydney. Large parts of the Blue Mountains were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, mainly because of the diversity of eucalyptus trees. The leaves of eucalyptus evaporate the eucalyptus oil, whose fine mist lies over the mountains.
