Mandalay

A tour of Mandalay's highlights! (Not that much to be honest!)
The best bit was the Ubein bridge by sunset. A very rickety and old bridge made from Teak wood. Of note- there is also no hand-rail for most of the bridge! Eeeek!!

Local rumours are that some of the main structural bits of teak were from the original Mandalay Place.

Women capture birds (in this case owls and parokeets) and then try to tell them to passers-by. Local tradition is to buy these birds and say a prayer as they release them.Baca selengkapnya
