Early morning flight to Pisa from Heathrow. Walk around Pisa with lunch before driving to La Spezia and Hotel Nella on the outskirts of the town. Hotel very helpful and has Aircon - so hot.

Evening meal in nearby Portvenere. A twisty 25 minute drive from the hotel. Plenty of fish restaurants and bars with a nice atmosphere.
La Spezzia

First part of of day joining the boat at La Spezia. 2 hour cruise along the coast past the 5 towns to Monterosso.

Cruise along the coast. First stop Portovenere then onto the 5 towns. €25 one way then €18 for a day pass on the train.

Lovely meal just around the corner from the hotel. Bruschetta with tomatoes and anchovies followed by a grilled lemon chicken breast and potatoes. Simple but tasty.
