      Rouen Day 2? - Giverny

      May 11 in France ⋅ ☀️ 75 °F

We started out late in the morning to board the train to Vernon - Giverny. After the previous day's experience, we weren't keen to get going at the break of dawn. But, we probably should have as the crowds were huge. This was part of a long holiday weekend, and there was a ton of stuff in bloom, so half of Paris was there. But we made the most of it and enjoyed the scenery.
A lot of spectacular flowers, and it was definitely cool to be in the place where Monet painted some of the exact scenery. Of all the things I liked best, I thought the tree peonies were amazing. I've seen them in catalogs, but never in person.
Luckily this isn't a gigantic place because the train schedule left a bit to be desired. We headed back to Rouen and recovered from the crowds and the day before.
