    Chiusaforte Alpe Adria

    Saw this place in a documentary in TV. It is a cycling road from Salzburg down to Adria. One of the most beautiful section is Chiusaforte. There is an old Train station which is now a restaurant and all bikers which coming down from Austria have a short brake. We took our bikes and drove up and down from trainstation. In our opinion the best cycling area so far.Læs mere

    Visited Julian Alps in Montasio

    Yesterday we founs a tip to visit the Julian Alps in Montasio. So we decided to go there. It was a 1 hour drive from Sutrio and the last 20 minutes were I quite hard piece of Street since only one car fits but a lot of cars wants to get up and down... We parked 3 km in front of parking space and settled our bikes and it was a good decision. Since most tourists are walking to the same restaurant we decided to drive another way and we had luck. The area is famous for their cows and they just went next to us up to their next destination. The cows were very exited about our bikes and we got a bikewash without any costs 😁 on the way back we went to river fellas which is the biggest nature river in Europe. Pretty cold but worth to put your feet into it.Læs mere

    3 Zinnen Dolomiten

    Visited 3 Zinnen today. Asked about a route before. Start was at Auronzo. The street up there is a toll street and costs 30 euros. We were told that you have to be early. So we drove there very early and arrived at 07:00 o'clock. Once it is full up there the street is closed!!

    From Auronzo you can take a walk to 3 Zinnen huette. Needs about 2 hours but a beautiful view all the time. There are different ways from easy to hard. We took the medium and had to climb one time which was not that easy with a 5 old year kid but worked. From 3 Zinnenhuete you can take a walk to Langalm. Another 2 hours walk. From there you can go back to Auronzo in 40 Minutes. In the end it is a 16 km hike with a lot of ups and down but an awesome view all the the time of the complete hike. You walk complete around the 3 Zinnen.    Læs mere

    Visited Olperls Kids Park

    We visited Olperls Kids Park on Mount Helm. (Monte Elmo). The start was direct next to the hotel. The park is a walk about 1 hour and there are stations for kids where they learn about mountain animals. It was not our favorite. But the park has one speciality which was impressive. You can do the whole walk barefoot. There are wooden plates where you can walk and some sections with different underground. One arrived on the top you have a view to the mountain site of the Dolomities but also on the other site to Innichen.Læs mere

    Mountain Bike Tour Fischleinvalley

    Hears of Fischlein Valley which shall be one of the most beautiful areas in Sexten. So we decided to took our bikes and drive there.
    You start in an amazing Larch Forrest and drive until the end of the valley. At the end you have a restaurant. Unfortunately pretty crowdy since it is a major tourist hike since it is an easy 7 km walk. Anyway to bike it was worth it!!Læs mere

    Arrived at Kitzbühel

    Arrived at Kitzbühel. Since weather forecasts says rain this afternoon we visited a deer park near Kitzbühel in Aurach. It is not a big park but Everyday at 2:30 p.m the dears get their food and you can stand direct snext to them. Especially for kids an experience once it starts when all deers coming down at the beginning.Læs mere

    Finkenberg (our favorite)

    For the end of our trip we visited our favorite hotel Sporthotel Stock in Finkenberg. It feels like coming home. This was our visit number 14 😊 but even we went often there we visited the first time Penkenjoch which is reachable via Gondola direct next to the Hotel. Special was that we decided to take our bikes with us up to the top which is on 2100 meter.

    After a short ride our son decided to play on the beautiful playground up there while we enjoyed a Latte Machiato at super cosy Granatalm 😊    Læs mere
