    Getting stuck in Amsterdam

    Since our flight from Basel to Amsterdam was that delayed we didnt get our connecting Flight to Reykjavik and have to stay for one night in Amsterdam. Worse Is that we even do Not get our luggage.... Rebooked for tomorrow - Fingers crossed 🤞 Czytaj więcej

    Golden Circle

    When you are in Iceland you definitely need to see the golden Circle which is a route with Geysers, Waterfalls and you can walk between the European and American Continental plates... We knew that it is pretty touristic, anyway it was worth it and we found a lot of places outside the Touristic attractions.sometimes they are just only a few miles away from the big parking areas... Also we found a beautiful Airbnb near Hella which is our sleeping place for tonight. Tomorrow we go south east on the coast. Unfortunately with a very bad weather forecast. We will see...     Highway#1 - the South

    From Hella we went in our Trip to the South. In the end it Is one Road - Highway number one. Our AIM was to reach the Diamond beach where Icebergs from the Glacier Go down to the SEA and the ICE in the black Sand looks like Diamonds. The weather forecast said heavy Rains and what should i say. It was more then that. We Had winds Up to 100 kmh and Rain from everywhere. But there is so much to See in the Route that we always took the Chance when the better was at least a bit better to visit very cool olaces. The Area i changing every 5 minutes. From old black Lava, to Green Hobbit Houses and glaciers to touch. Iceland totally flashes US and WE really wanted to head more east to so the while found around the Island.     Somehow Hamilton

    Since we had some Problems with our ETA for Canada at the Iceland Airport we didnt get our flight to Calgary. Seconds time in this travel we we're stucked. So we we're sitting in the Airport with 2 Kids, a Lot of luggage and decide what to do with a planned shedule starting in Calgary by the same day. The next flight to Calgary from Iceland to Calgary was in 2 days first so we checked which flight Go to North American the same day and it was Toronto. So we booked Toronto and landed in Hamilton. Fortunatelly we Made it at that day to : cancel Hotel and Rental car in Calgary. Book a new Hotel and Rental car in Hamilton, book a new flight from Toronto to Calgary and a new Rental car in Calgary. By the way there was a big hailstorm in Calgary when our originally arrival in Calgary was planned... From a very good friend we Heard about to visit Clifton Hill which is directly next to the Niagara Falls and we Had a big Fun day especially for the Kids after 1 week of Nature...

    For Sure the Niagara Falls are impresive but also very touristic but we Had a great day here. Tomorrow we Plan to get on track again in Calgary...     Czytaj więcej

    Banff National Park

    Yesterday we visited Banff National Park. From Banff which is very croudy now, we thought it is not a good idea to drive to the biggest attraction Lake Louis after breakfast how everybody is doing. So we drove all the way up on Route 93 and started to visit beautiful places from North to south. Route 93 is one of the most scenic route we drove so far. From Cline River we went down to Peyton Lake and our biggest Favorite Bow lake with a amazing small Hanging Glacier coffee where we had a bison Chilli 😋 As a last stop we went to Lake Louise and even we knew it will be croudy but didn't expect that it is that commercial. 40 dollar parking fee and in the beginning you do not see the lake. The area is beautiful and for sure we couldn't drove by being in the area and didn't saw it by our own but it was not our Highlight. The highlight is the road the small streets left and right and taking the hikes. In the end we were 9 hours on the road and had a blast of a day. Czytaj więcej

    Emerald Lake Lodge

    We spend one night at the Emerald Lake in the Lodge which is located direct at the Lake. There is a peer which is a view Spot and you can rent boats. We were very glad that our house was located directly at the lake with a breathtaking view. In the evening and morning time we did small Hikes around the lake- Wow it felt like the lake was ours. This morning the road was closed since a bear was around the street. This was an absolutely amazing experience over here 🤗🤗🤗 Czytaj więcej

    For us it was just another stop to avoid a real long drive to Vancouver. The highlands seams to be very interesting. Also there are trains as long as you can see.

    We visited 3 nights our very good friends in Vancouver. We know them more then 15 years and we were so happy to finally meet them again. They hosted us in their home and we were treated very very well with great food and organisation of trips and a cozy apartment for our own ❤️ They showed us Point Robertson which is located in the US which is crazy since it is sourounded by Canada and Water ( Check the picture) and we went to Great Stanley Park and Granville Island. Vancouver is for us one of the most beautiful Cities on the world. You have beautiful architecture with a background of the Rockies directly at the seafront. Just an amazing place to be.     East of Oahu

    Yesterday we explored the whole East side of Oahu and we drove Highway 83 until Haleiwa. The Weather is quite interesting here since the Mountains in the middle of the island are blocking the clouds. It is possible that you have beautiful sunny weather and after the next turn there is a bit of rain. We found beautiful postcard spots, saw sea turtles and beaches like drawn. Haleiwa is a small town with a lot of Surfer shops and food trucks- very cool to have a break.

    Kaena Point North Shore

    Visited the Karma Point today -it is the most northern Point of Oahu you can reach at the North Shore. We decided to take the route through the Island to see this part of the island also. It is really crazy that you only drive 25 minutes from east to West but it totally looks different. The East with its Mountains and sometimes foggy even rainy ( but warm all the time) and the west which is very dry and really hot. The northern shore was windy but very cool to visit to see the guys surfing. The waves are so powerful. The best was that we were nearly alone. Places we love always most. Czytaj więcej

    If you ever go to Hawaii try at least once Spam Musibi. It is rice with Teriyaki sauce and breakfast spam. In the end sushi for the poor but for us with a daily breakfast and we loved it 😁

    Kauai ❤️- more West is East...

    Wow what a day. We arrived yesterday at Kauai and checked in into our hotel. The weather forecast was bad - anyway we decided to go to the Waimea Canyon and what we found was just amaaaaaazing. The canyon really looks like Grand Canyon with the big difference that there are no tourists. Every spot is empty and when there are some visitors you can go 50 steps and you are alone again. So many Hikes and Trails. We had a break at Kokee Lodge with some local foods and great locals who played their Music. It was a big come together and it felt so good. Last but not least we went all the way up to the lookout point of Kalalau and Pu'u o Klia and wow. May the most scenic Overview of our Lives and again a lot of Spots and Hikes and Trails and it felt like being in Heaven. We realized that we will never go more west from home as this points. All other points will call east. Very cool to know to be on very very last West Point...

    On the way back we went to Baby beach to see the sun downer and went to Koloa were you can find a beautiful small village with food trucks , restaurants and Shops.- very cool😎

    It was perfect day. Kauai is even after one day one of our all time Favorites..     Czytaj więcej

    exploring Kauai

    Kauai is simply just amazing. We explored so many Things from North to South, from east to West. We Had a lazy Pool day and enjoyed simply everything here. We are very sad to leave tomorrow. For Sure a big Hike Here is a must but since we saw that it is up to 4 hours one way and more then 600 Meter height difference we decided to visit the more easier ones with the Kids.     Short Hike Seattle

    We didnt booked a Hotel in Seattle before so we had todo it from Kauai. Normally you book an airport Hotel when you arrive late after a Long day and a 6 hours flight and even more longer flight the next day... But an Airport Hotel is normally boring and since we are Not normal and we do Not Like boring we booked a Hotel Downtown went Up early with a 3 hours Jetlag to Hawaii asked the Hotel for a late Checkout and "Tada" there are at least 4 hours to explore the City. We Loved to walked at the peers and saw the mountains from there. Especially we loved to see Mount Rainier which I saw from Vancouver once. We learned that it is one of the most dangerous Vulcanos in the world since it can explode anytime. On the way to the airport we got the message that Seattle Airport is hacked and there is a big chaos. And then we saw something what we never saw before. The did all Luggage tags by Hand. Printing a kind of. Dummy, put it together and handwriting some of the information... We have 4 hours delay and now already that we will not get our connection flight in Frankfurt...
