    Drive through Butte

    Butte is a cute town on the side of the the richest hill in the world. Lots of copper, silver, and other metals have been mined here since the late 19th century. The mining continues to this day in one of the largest open pit mines in the world. Originally, the mines were deep mines with a mine head. The mine heads still dominate the sky line of Butte. Much of the landscape has been beautifully restored.Read more
