Oil rigs galore

Driving over the causeway into town yesterday we opened the window for a photo. Ahh ... I'd recognize that smell anywhere. Raw crude oil. Since my dad and his dad made their livings in the oil industry, it doesn't really smell bad to me. It smells like industry, and prosperity.

Downtown, all along the bay, there were enormous oil rigs waiting to cast out to sea. A working town. With real people, even in the midst of all the tourists.Læs mere
