The road to Cortez

It didn’t take long to start rising in elevation. Soon the sign showed we were entering the Zia Indian reservation, which at some point morphed into an Apache reservation.

Gosh, talk about scenery! Unlike my dad, the famous Wilson L Nicoll, who mastered the art of shooting from bus windows at top speed, we were constantly frustrated in our attempts.
