Hike to Emerald Lake

Margaret and I went on a guided hike this morning. I group was small, but there were a lot of people on the trail.

Both Margaret and I viewed this 3.6 mile round trip hike with a gain of 700 feet as a trial hike. We have concerns about strength, endurance, sun, and altitude. But we seem to have survived the hike, though it will be tomorrow when our muscles let us know what they thought of the hike.

We have another hike scheduled for Wednesday morning. I don’t think that the altitude is as high, which would be good. But the elevation gain is more and the distance is greater.Læs mere
