Café Asiático, Spain

after hiking in calblanque we went for a drink in one of these typical village cafés, where everyone knows everyone. time for a café asiático! that's an alcoholic drink made out of coffee & brandy, it is typical from cartagena. so now i'm sitting here listening to the old guy talking way to loud with the waitress with a voice like a circular saw 😊, sipping my asiático. by the way... the origin of the recipe as we know it today dates back to the 1940s, when it was prepared in "pedrín" bar in cartagena. the drink however was already known before, with different variations, by the fishermen of cartagena, who used to carry with them poor quality coffee, brandy and milk, which helped them keep warm and clear during the fishing time.Читать далее
