Olympic torch

The Olympic torch is currently travelling through France. Stage 21 on May 31st will take it from Cherbourg-en-Cotentin through Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Saint-Lô and Sainte-Mère-Église. These villages played an important role during the Normandy landings in World War II. The Olympic convoy will then continue its journey to Granville and Villedieu-les-Poêles-Rouffigny before finally reaching Mont-Saint-Michel. That's why a school of acrobatics is currently setting up here and practicing for the big day. They are standing here next to our bus and I was able to watch them rehearsing today.Read more
