• Playa del Puerco

    After lunch we rode the scooter through all kinds of small and unpaved streets and finally ended up at Playa del Puerco.

    It's also called Torre del Puerco and a long, unspoiled sandy beach between the village of Roche and Playa de la Barrosa.

    It is known for its fine, golden sand and the surrounding dunes and cliffs, which give it a wilder, yet more peaceful feel than neighboring La Barrosa.

    The name comes from the watchtower (Torre del Puerco) that stands at the beach's highest point. While it is a continuation of Playa de la Barrosa, it has a distinctly different atmosphere.
