    The Pico Vermelho Mill was built sometime between the 18th and 19th centuries and is one of the few of its kind still standing on the island of São Miguel.

    The mill has been restored and showcases the milling tradition in Ajuda da Bretanha. The Dutch-style building is open to visitors in July and August. It has two floors and is part of a small exhibition of artifacts such as measuring boxes used by the miller, his attire, and that of his wife, who assisted him in the task.Læs mere
