Ruska Kapelica

Some pictures from the descent. It didn't take very long at all; I guess it really helps when it's downhill the whole way! At the bottom you emerge in a river bed with incredible views of the Triglav massif. And just as one beautiful river ended yesterday, another starts, as the crystal waters of the Pisnica lead to Jasna lake.

Ruska kapelica is a traditional chapel I passed on the way down. It was built by Russian prisoners of war in 1915, the same prisoners who built the Vrsic pass road. They were held here by Austro-Hungarians.Les mer
