    Hochiminh City

    You came! You should be very proud of yourselves, you know a lot about Vietnam. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, but HCMC it the biggest city. Many foreigners mistakenly think that HCMC is the capital of Vietnam.

    Vibrating with energy, innovation and traffic – lots of traffic – Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is the economic heart of Vietnam and the main hub of the southern region. A freewheeling, cosmopolitan metropolis, HCMC's dynamic cityscape draws together old and new Vietnam in the most compact of spaces, representing the city’s past as well as its future.

    You have full 3 days and nights in HCMC, you visited Cu Chi Tunnel, you visited War relics museum, you traveled a lot in HCMC, I really want to hear your emotions with HCMC to add to this note 🥰.    Les mer

    Nha Trang, a beautiful beach city

    Your last stop in the North to South Trip is Nha Trang, a beautiful beach city of Vietnam. Nha Trang is home to one of the 29 most beautiful bays in the world. It is blessed by nature with many unique landscapes and a rich source of seafood.

    Nha Trang is a coastal city of Khanh Hoa Province and plays an important role in the politics, economy, culture and tourism of the province. It borders Ninh Hoa Town to the North, the East Sea to the East and adjoins Cam Lam District to the South. In the West, it is adjacent to Dien Khanh District.

    Located at the gateway of the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands, Nha Trang has all the advantages of geographical location, climate and natural scenery to become a paradise in terms of tourism and resort of Vietnam. In particular, it was voted by Travel and Leisure magazine as one of the 29 most beautiful bays in the world.

    In addition, Nha Trang has an extremely diverse system of large and small islands, in which there are a lot of stunning landscapes on the shore and under the water with wild and rustic features. Therefore, it has become an ideal destination for both domestic and foreign tourists.

    It's raining season on Vietnam this time so to avoid travelling by bus, we decide to take flight and train instead. You take train from HCMC to Nha Trang, it's also an experience for Noah. So in Vietnam, you have experience for almost all kind of travel means.

    You fly back to Hanoi on Aug. 28, complete the North to South trip successfully.    Les mer

    Relax at home

    Coming back after a long trip, we spent time for meeting relatives, organised funeral anniversary for Bi's Grandma, went to cinema for a very popular Oppenheimer...

    Time passes slowly and calmly.

    Hoa Binh Hydropower & Da Bac Village

    Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant kept its the first biggest hydropower dam rate for almost 20 years, until Son La Hydropower project was completed in put in operation. Anyway, Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant is one among the biggest Hydropower Dam in the SEA.

    The project was started construction from Nov. 1979, completed in the year of 1994, with the support from Soviet Union experts.

    To block the flow of Da River (Black River), to reserve water for electricity generation... a huge reservior was created, And
    Da Bac village is one among many resettlement areas for the residents who's house and life were affected by Century Hoa Binh Hydropower Project.

    Will you remember the day you together with all big family members in Vietnam went to Da Bac, swimmed in the very warrm water of Da Bac Lake and had relaxed hours.    Les mer

    Bat Trang Pottery Village

    Coming back to childhood, playing with clay and self-making the memorial goods is remarkable moments in Bat Trang Pottery Village, an acient craft village locating in Hanoi, next to the Hong River.

    We also remember a small restaurant (Banh cuon co Nghi) with a very dilicious banh cuon and hot & crispy nem (spring roll).

    Trang An, Ninh Binh

    6 weeks are long, or very short?

    Time is really an abstract concept, sometimes a minute is very very very long, but in this particular case, 6 weeks, 41 days, almost a thousand hours... are so short.

    So many beautiful places we want to introduce Noah, so many dilicious cuisines we want him to try...

    We are always in hurry, hurry to chase and catch the time, curve time to fit our plan 🥰.

    Ninh Binh is the last place Noah visited in Vietnam during his 6-week-trip this time. The trip lasts for only 7 hrs including driving time but it's exciting enough.

    Good weather, good food, with the beloved people ... are the factors those made the success.    Les mer

    Bi's Grandpa

    Noah oi, have you ever been given so many "homework" by a person like Bi's grandpa ?

    Bi's grandpa is a biological scientific doctor, he dedicates the whole his life to science. His major is invertebrate zoology. With a long long long years working as a lecture, he has habit to give questions, and homework 😍.

    I remember your homework : "what do you like the most and what do you dislike the most in Vietnam?".

    The goodbye lunch with grandpa 2 days before you leave, you had reunion with grandpa and shared with him all your emotion, thoughts...

    It's a pity that we did not take any pics with Grandpa when you are here :(. We remember to do it when you come back.

    The End is a new start

    Goodbye time is always a difficult moment, but as the above title, I believe the end of this is a new start of that, it will open a new period, a new direction, all the new things are hidden but exciting and attractive.

    From a very far conner of the world, Noah went into the relationship with Bi, spent his time to visit Vietnam and got aquitance with us, from a stranger became a beloved guest, then a closed friend, and a son at the last. We all overcome the initial barrier and have happy time together, travel and live together as a family. There are plenty worries and stresses, but there are also a lot of laughters and happiness, there are eye drops of melancholy but there are also eye drops from love over control.

    Goodbye, my son, and we will meet again many many other times in the future.    Les mer
