BROOME OR BUST

And just like that, we’ve reached the final leg of our journey. We flew from Broome’s red dust and tropical warmth to windswept Fremantle—a complete shift in mood and tempo. Our base here was a little hidden gem called The Blue Door, a charming Airbnb tucked away in a quiet corner, yet just a short stroll from all that Fremantle has to offer.

The weather, however, had other plans. Wild winds and lashing rain set the tone for most of our three-night stay. But we didn’t let it dampen our spirits. We found refuge in galleries, wandered through the Maritime Museum, slipped into a sauna, and even braved a dip in the wild, churning ocean—just to feel invigorated. There was comfort food, fabulous wine (possibly too much!), and catch ups with friends that made the cold outside feel irrelevant.

Reflecting on the journey, it’s hard to put into words just how special it’s been. We’ve seen extraordinary landscapes, encountered unforgettable people, and created memories that will linger far beyond the photos. We’ve travelled well together—a true test of any trip—and having Zoe with us for the past three weeks has only added to the joy.

It’s hard to say goodbye, but then again, all great adventures must come to an end. This one leaves us grateful, inspired, and just a little reluctant to return to normal life. Czytaj więcej
