Today I visited the village of Therma. It is know for its natural hot irradiated springs. Many of the hotels here have natural water treatments inside their walls. The town has a small port and beach, and several restaurants and coffee shops.Read more

Therapeutic Mineral Bath and Hammam

Today I went to an irradiated hot spring (To Spileo) in the town of Therma. I went to to have a soak in the naturally hot mineral bath, and I also sat in the Hammam, or natural steam room. The heated stone and water is heated directly from the earth and is irradiated.Read more

Therma is a small village towards the end of the island. The natural hot springs draw tourists and locals alike. The hot springs are thought to have healing properties. I went to the hamam and hot springs. Inside the hot springs, a few locals sang traditional Ikarian songs as they soaked.Read more
