    Frog Woman Rock (Squaw Rock)

    This promontory is sacred to the Pomo Indians. It was the home of the Frog Woman, a consort of the coyote. It is most definitely an impressive monolith, and I saw some golden eagles flying up near the peak.

    The marker refers to it as the "Frog Woman Rock", but locally it has always been known as Squaw Rock.
