Day 7 - In open sea

It's quite choppy this morning. We're back in the Pacific time zone and heading South. We'll be at sea all day, but I believe we'll tuck into the inner passage when we get to Vancouver Island.

Day 7 - Nobody is using the pool

Wandering around the ship. Nobody is using the pool today for some reason. 🤔
I'm glad I have my cabin balcony as refuge, though it's really just the horizon to see today. I went up to the bridgeRead more
Day 7 - Today's winner?

Today's winner, by default, as it is the only entry. It's actually a different face than yesterday.
Day 8 - Still in open seas

It is mind-blowingly boring at this point. We're definitely paying a price for our missed a port at the start of the trip. Still 7 hours to go before we dock in Victoria, and then it will already beRead more
Day 8 - Land Ahoy!

Those hills are actually were I drove before the cruise, it's the Olympic National Park
Day 8 - No winner today

We only had one new entry, but it's not really at the same level as some of the previous.
Day 8 - Arriving in Victoria

Our only Canadian port
Day 8 - The Empress

It's pouring rain. I'll come back after dark and try some more shots.
Day 8 - It's a small world

I went to Minature World of course, as it's the greatest little show on Earth. It was actually brilliant. Clearly a work of love.
So it's an endless set of Minature Dioramas with exquisite detail.
Day 8 - Rainy streets of Victoria

Day 8 - Queen Elizabeth's favorite chocs

That's the second one, not the first.
Rogers of Victoria.
Day 8 - Out of Ireland

Huge Irish shop
Day 8 - A pint at the Irish Times

When in Canada...
Day 8 - British Columbia's Parliament

The capital of British Columbia is in Victoria. There are 3,333 lights on the building, which is the same number of jewels on Queen Victoria's Crown. I guess it's Charles' now.
Day 9 - Seattle once more

Back where it started, more or less. We came into pier 91, not 66.
Flight home

One final glimpse of Mount Rainier

And Mount Shasta

A great day for seeing dormant volcanoes.
Back in Santa Rosa

Just got my bags, but one has been destroyed. Sigh!
It's brand new, but it had two of its wheels broken off.
TravelerI see that FindPenguins isn't showing a US or Canadian flag for this footprint. We must be in international waters.
