Day 1 – Johannesburg to Kalahari Gateway

A long long day of driving. Leaving behind the city of Johannesburg at 0730, we travel through the North-West Province to the Botswana border. After completing border formalities we continue on the Trans-Kalahari highway to our overnight Kang Ultra, arriving at 20:22....13 hours. A truck stop in front and a pleasant overnight at the back.
Lunch consisted of sandwiches next to road.
