Blue Mountain Village

The drive to Blue Mountain started shaky this morning.
First road trip on the right side of the road..🤦♂️

What a day - our first mini adventure in Canada.

Started the morning with a brisk 6km walk to get the day going.
Five Lake Trail

The quick and easy 6 km hike had the most spectacular views of the 5 lakes. The colors were mesmerizing. Quick coffe in Jasper and then drive down the Icefields Parkway.

Saw our first bears next to the road and then found the most delightful spot for a picnic lunch at a little lake.

What a slog
8 hours, 28km (Roga 39km), 1144m elevation gain. Last 2km to the lake a scramble over rocks.... and then we had to go back.
