Sailing the Mediterranean 2022

Cala Sol d'en Serra. 43 hours later and 170nm we arrived in Ibiza from our safe mooring in Arenys de Mar marina. Dropping anchor on an island we have not been to before, in an unknown bay in pitch darkness while slightly sleep-deprived and ratty was fun at best. Elated? Not quite. Operating in robot mode, we completed our first sail for the year and our first crossing. Grabbing a weather window that you have been patiently waiting for over so many days, still makes you feel unprepared. And so the night-shift roster began with this 2-night crossing. The sail went well including reefing and dropping mains in 2m swell. It is like riding a bicycle and reminded us of the skills we have in our goodie bag so while we feel yet again disrupted by leaving our safe hold on land, this is what we do and enjoy.En savoir plus
